Alopecia in cats

by

Endocrine alopecia in cats is extremely rare.

A symmetrical alopecia is usually self-induced (the broken hairs are a giveaway) and usually reflects a pruritic skin condition.

Behavioural causes of over-grooming are less common, but can respond extremely well to behavioural modifiers such as Zylkene or Feliway.
